A Step-by-Step Guide to IRCTC Registration for NRIs(Also for NEPALESE)

(IRCTC) Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is an Indian public sector undertaking that provides ticketing, catering, and tourism services for the state-owned Indian Railways. It was established in 1999 by the Government of India and operated under the administrative control of the Ministry of Railways.

Registration Process for Nepalese citizens

1. For Nepalese citizens user have to pay registration fees of Rs INR 100 + GST.

2. Valid mobile number and valid email id are mandatory to register as Nepalese citizens.

STEP 1: Please click on REGISTER link on home page of https://www.irctc.co.in

STEP 2: Create your User Name, Password, select language, choose security questions (In case you forgot your password you can recover it ) and then click Continue button.

STEP 3: Type your First-middle - last Name

Select your ''occupation''
choose your ''Date of Birth (AD)'' and ''Marital Status''
Select '' NEPAL'' in country.
Select ''Gender'' and ''E-mail address ''
Type ''977'' in ISD, enter your mobile number, select '' NEPAL'' in Nationality.
Then click Continue.

Info! Nepalese users with ISD code other than 91 have to pay Registration fees after successful registration i.e. on first login. Please note that the Registration fee for Nepalese users is Rs. 100 + GST.

STEP 4: Fill your address details and click ''REGISTER''

STEP 5: A pop up will appear as follow:

STEP 6: If the entered email id and mobile number are correct click "OK" button. After successful registration please check your registered email for registration confirmation mail.

STEP 7: On selecting “CLICK HERE” you will be redirected to “IRCTC.CO.IN”, here click on “LOGIN” button and enter your User ID and Password mentioned at the time of registration to pay the registration fee.
